And More bags...

Another little something I'm working on for my new project... this would make a great washbag if made in oilcloth...

  2. Hi Debbie,

Wow, that is wonderful! I love the fabric, what is it? I think it would work for both sexes and all ages. I'm waiting for a good book about making bags...! Still haven't done my sewing machine bag unfortunately. Other expenses and Christmas got in the way... and the dog needs a new cover for his bed first! -I'll get there by Christmas 2015 I reckon!

I'm doing a workshop at local (rather lovely) haberdashery next month. Pattern drafting and how to adjust patterns to fit, inc how to measure properly. I've only read about this and practiced on myself so it'll be great to learn and refine under professional instruction. I intend to eat my Christmas dinner next year in an outfit I've made (tailored? ) for myself that fits properly!

Anyway, in case I don't visit your blog again before, have a merry Christmas and a happy new year. Thank you for all the tips, inspiration and know how you share with everyone.

    Christmas hugs to "sewists" everywhere!

  3. Hi Debbie,

This looks like a bag I shall make for toting sewing notions or thread with me between the summer home and winter home. I may have to make more than one.

I tried to vote for you, but the link in inactive...

I made a couple of your drawstring bags for gifts yesterday.I couldn't make the bottoms work, so I took them out and made traditional boxed bottoms and they're perfect! They are going to be a big hit at the Christmas party they're attending!

Thank you for all your inspiration, patterns, and tutorials!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

  4. I made a boxed bag similar to this for a raffle gift for a MacMillan Big Coffee Morning I went to back in September. I was really pleased with how it turned out so decided to make some more for Christmas presents. Finally cut them out yesterday so sewing them up is on today's list! I'm sure they'll be on my blog before long too - when I get a minute! www.lovemaxi.blogspot.com
